Kevin Hart is asking a judge to intervene in his legal battle with his former assistant, Miesha Shakes... and wants to prevent the woman of his infamous sexual video from testifying.
The comedian presented court documents days after Miesha, who worked for Kevin from 2017 to 2020, named his partner in the sexual video, Montia Sabbag, as a possible witness who could testify in his case.
Miesha said Montia could testify about the scandal and the resulting legal battle she has with Kevin for the explicit content tape.
As TMZ previously reported, Kevin is suing Miesha for an interview she gave to blogger Tasha K, in which Miesha spoke about her personal life.
Kevin claims that she violated a confidentiality agreement he signed when he left his company. For its part, Miesha argues that such an agreement is not enforceable because, according to her, Kevin did not fulfil the other obligations set out in his contract.
In the new court documents, obtained by TMZ, Kevin claims that Miesha did not consult with his legal team about his witness list before presenting it, which he says is inappropriate.
Kevin believes Miesha presented the witness list by naming Montia to embarrass him and provoke a scandal. He asked the court not to allow Miesha to call irrelevant witnesses like Montia, arguing that she has nothing to do with the case in question.
KH insists that only he, Miesha and Tasha K are relevant to the case, and that others should be prevented from testifying unless Miesha can prove that his testimony is relevant to the case.
In his claim, Kevin claims that his reputation was damaged by Miesha's interview with Tasha K. He seeks compensation for undetermined damages.
