Judge Emmanuel López Polanco of the Judicial Office of Permanent Services of the National District postponed the knowledge of the measure of coercion against those involved in the attempt to attract a jewelry store in the Villa Juana sector to Thursday, October 15, at 9: 00 in the morning.
The request for deferral was submitted by the defence lawyers. The decision also seeks to ensure the presence of the 19-year-old Shandde Moses Amancio Arias, who remains in a health centre and is noted for his alleged participation in the event.
Only Angel David of Jesus, alias «Escudero,» 20 years old, and César Edwar Tejeda Carela, known as «Fin Hair,» 21 years old, were transferred to the audience on this Saturday.
The case is related to the assault attempt that took place on Wednesday, October 7 at Gisac Jewelry Jewelry, located on Mauricio Báez Street, between Alonso de Espinosa and María Montez streets in Villa Juana.
According to the National Police investigations, several individuals attempted to commit the robbery, but the action was frustrated by the second retired lieutenant Carlos Miguel Martínez Calderón, who was shot and wounded during the incident.
As part of the investigations, the authorities received a voluntary Glock, model 45, 9-mm, gun with unreadable numbering and a 30-capsule-capacity charger, identified as one of the weapons allegedly used during the event.
The National Police also reported on Saturday that Alinson Juander Cuello Pujols, alias «Piri,» who was wanted for his alleged connection with the case, was handed over to the authorities in Baní, province of Perevia. With his delivery, four persons are arrested in connection with the assault attempt.
Meanwhile, the judicial process will continue next Thursday, when the court is expected to hear the request for a measure of coercion against the accused.
The authorities keep investigations open to establish the circumstances of the event and to determine the individual responsibilities of those involved.
